Younger friends (grades KDG through 2) created a STORIES OF GIVING journal where they each write three stories focusing on different aspects of giving.
Older friends (grades 3 through 5) worked on our holidays around the world scrapbooks!
Santa Claus has many names around the world!
France -- Pere Noel
Italy -- Babbo Natale
England -- Father Christmas
Sweden -- Jultomten
Mexico -- Santo Clos
Germany -- Weihnachtsmann
Finland -- Joulupukki (This is our favorite name for Santa Claus. We made our own Christmas carol, "Joulupukki's Coming to Town!)
And below are two of our favorite Christmas carols from different countries that you can listen to, Carol of the Bells from Ukraine and Feliz Navidad from Mexico!
The poinsettia is important to the Mexican Christmas tradition. We made poinsettias while Dev read The Legend of the Poinsettia to us!

As we completed our France pages for our scrapbooks, we researched different recipes for la bûche de noël, a traditional French yule log. You can find our favorite recipe by clicking here. We decided that a bûche de noël is just like a big ho ho because Santa says HO HO HO!
We also researched the Eiffel Tower and watched a video of it being lit up for Christmas. Watch it here.
